The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is accepting applications on behalf of the Mary Gale Foundation (MGF), which has established a donor advised fund with the Foundation to support its grantmaking. This grantmaking program is open to nonprofit organizations.
The Mary Gale Foundation (MGF) is a private, grantmaking foundation that supports housing, health and other in-home services and programs for low-income women age 65 and older living in the Greater Manchester area.
Types of projects funded
- Grants are generally targeted to programs, organizations and projects benefiting aged and needy women in Greater Manchester, with an emphasis on housing and in-home services, including transportation, deliveries, in-home nursing care, home visits, and other supports that help enable women 65 and older to remain in their own homes.
Funding Information
- Grants in recent years have ranged from $ 4,000 to over $ 100,000.
Geographic Focus
- Funding is limited to organizations providing services in the greater Manchester area (Manchester, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, Londonderry, Litchfield, Candia and Auburn).
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or be a municipality or other subdivision of government.
- Organizations that do not have public charity status may apply for grants if another public charity acts as a fiscal sponsor.
