The Moniker’s High Country Region Grants Committee is seeking applications for its Competitive Grants Program.
Focus Areas
Through this program, they seek funding requests from organizations that fit within Moniker’s overarching mission – providing resources for education and well-being to Colorado communities. More specifically though, their board currently focuses on the following four focus area categories for funding:
- Education – to support individuals that want to pursue a life of passion, purpose, and fulfillment, and to encourage a lifelong desire for learning and discovery
- Health & Human Services – to enhance, through prevention and remediation, the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities
- Arts & Culture – to inspire and cultivate individual, group, and community expression
- Environment – to connect individuals to the outdoors and to promote the value of sustainability to ensure that future generations have a healthy and habitable natural world
Funding Information
- In 2021, each region has a budget of $50,000.
- Moniker is a relatively small family foundation. As a result, their uniform grant sizes will generally stay within a range of $5,000 to $10,000, depending on the budget each year.
- Grant award sizes will range between $4,000 and $10,000 depending on the annual program budget and regional committee decisions. Each region has a program budget of $50,000 in 2021.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, or under the fiscal sponsorship of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. At this time, they do not fund endowments or scholarships through this program.
- The applicant organization must operate within one of the three priority funding regions.
- The applicant organization’s primary focus area must be one of the following: Arts & Culture; Education; Environment; or Health & Human Services.
- Prior to each application period, first-time applicants are required to attend a Pre-Application Meeting.
