Location
- With employees located around the globe, Motorola Solutions seeks to benefit the communities where it operates, and the Motorola Solutions Foundation prioritizes programs in these communities as well. The Foundation also prioritizes giving to universities from which Motorola Solutions recruits.
Priority Locations within North America
- Baltimore Area (MD)
- Boston (MA)
- Chicagoland (IL)
- Dallas Area (TX)
- Salt Lake City (UT)
- South Florida (FL)
- Southern California (CA)
- Vancouver (BC)

Criteria
- The Foundation prioritizes initiatives that directly engage participants in structured ongoing programming over multiple touchpoints, rather than a one-time event. The Foundation does not support event sponsorships through its annual grants program.
- An organization can submit multiple applications. However, the Foundation will likely fund just one program per organization.
- You may apply for a grant to purchase non-Motorola equipment. However, the Foundation prioritizes initiatives that directly engage participants in structured ongoing programming over programs that focus primarily on capital needs and equipment costs. If equipment costs are part of a program’s budget, they should not constitute the majority of the program or application.
- They don’t accept applications for multi-year grants. However, organizations may apply for a grant year after year.
