The Mackay Regional Council has announced the applications for COVID-19 Grants in Australia to provide assistance to local community and sporting groups/organisations that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funds can be used for activities like training volunteers to increase efficiencies, implementing new fundraising measures and even purchasing things like solar panels that help to reduce future running costs.
Funding Information
- Council is extending a $250,000 lifeline to not-for-profits in their region that have been impacted by COVID-19.
- Groups can apply for up to $2000 to help get back on track after hardships sustained because of COVID-19.
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations are required to:
- Be located within and servicing the Mackay Regional Council community,
- Be an incorporated association or company with not-for-profit status; and
- Have a valid public liability certificate.
Ineligible
The following Organisations are ineligible to apply:
- Religious Groups.
- Fundraising Bodies/Groups (where this is the primary purpose).
- Parents and Citizens Associations.
- Member Representative Organisations.
- Service Clubs.
- National Groups/Service Agencies with a local presence.
