The N.C.B Foundation is seeking nominations for its ‘Grant a Wish 2021’ program, but they need your help to identify those who could really use some help this Christmas.
Categories
The Foundation will be supporting wishes in the following categories:
- Medical: Persons who need help to cover medical expenses and purchase medicine. Donations:
- 1st Place – J$200,000
- 2nd Place – J$100,000
- 3rd Place – J$50,000
- Grants – 5 donations of J$25,000 each
- Education: Cover the cost of school fees, or other school-related expenses. Donations:
- 1st Place – J$300,000
- 2nd Place – J$200,000
- 3rd Place – J$100,000
- Grants – 50 tablets and 25 laptops
- Frontline Workers: Give back to the modern day heroes, who are at the front of the line in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. This includes the healthcare workers, members of the security forces, food, sanitation, transportation and other essential workers. Donations:
- 1st Place – J$500,000
- 2nd Place – J$250,000
- 3rd Place – J$150,000
- Grants – 10 donations of J$100,000 each
- Community Projects: Offset the costs of community projects that will help persons in need, create employment or provide needed infrastructure for community members. Donations:
- 1st Place – J$750,000
- 2nd Place – J$500,000
- 3rd Place – J$250,000
- Grants – 3 donations of J$100,000 each
- Micro-entrepreneurship: Support persons wishing to start a small home-based business venture or sustainable earning initiative to support themselves and their families. Donations:
- 1st Place – J$250,000
- 2nd Place – J$100,000
- 3rd Place – J$50,000
- Grants – 3 donations of J$25,000 each
Voting Rules
- All nominations must be submitted via the grantawish.jncb.com web portal
- Voters will be required to verify their account using a mobile number
- Voters are allowed to cast up to fifteen (15) votes per day, with up to three (3) votes in each category
- Recipients will be notified by email or phone call by December 13, 2021. Please note that no payment will be required from nominees, nor will they be asked to divulge private and personal banking information such as their debit/credit card PIN or password to collect the award.
Terms and Conditions
- The nominated person or organisation must be a Jamaican citizen residing in Jamaica, or is legally registered in Jamaica.
- The nominee(s) must be willing to participate in the Grant a Wish programme, and take part in any associated publicity efforts. By participating in the programme, the recipient consents to the use of his or her name, likeness, image, photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity programme or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by them or their agencies, without further compensation, throughout the entire world in perpetuity.
- N.C.B. Foundation will notify the nominees with the most votes in each category by way of telephone call or email. If the nominee does not respond to confirm acceptance of the award and these terms and conditions within 48 hours, the award will be given to the nominee in the category with the next highest number of votes.
- Awards which remain uncollected after seven (7) calendar days of acceptance by the nominee will remain the property of N.C.B. Foundation, and N.C.B. Foundation reserves the right to pass the award to the nominee with the next highest votes in the category.
- Recipients must present a valid Government-issued photo ID (i.e. passport, voters’ ID card or driver’s license) to collect/redeem the award.
- Minors (persons under the age of 18 years old) are eligible to participate in this programme, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to redeem or collect the award.
- N.C.B. Foundation reserves the right at any time to vary the terms of this programme, to amend its Terms and Conditions, or to withdraw the programme. In any of these events, notice will be given via media advertisements or messages to subscribers and will be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
- N.C.B. Foundation reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the programme if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, safety or proper play of the programme.
- N.C.B. Foundation reserves the right to disqualify and blacklist any participant of the programme who attempts to defraud or undermine the rules of the programme.
