Nominations are now open for the 2021 Women of Influence Awards to celebrate the amazing work of Kiwi women who are creating real change in their communities and inspiring others to achieve great things.
The Women of Influence Awards focus on quality and impact, rather than the scale or seniority. They encourage the widest possible range of women to showcase the work they do and the contributions they make.
Categories
- Arts & Culture: Contributing to the advancement of arts and culture, either as creative artists or as supporters for others in their field.
- Board & Management: Senior managers or directors using their influence to effect positive change in their field, champion important causes and inspire others.
- Business Enterprise: Substantially developing a business and leading its strategy and direction, as an owner or an operator.
- Community Hero: Showing leadership and helping others through community projects or campaigns in the not-for-profit sector, which may include health, local education, domestic violence, financial, literacy, cultural or ethnic diversity programmes.
- Diversity: Creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce, through advocacy in the workplace, government, lobby groups, or the community.
- Environment – NEW: Taking action to protect the environment and fight climate change through public or private sector initiatives.
- Innovation, Science & Health: Driving scientific, technological, or other significant innovation within business, academia, or the broader community.
- Public Policy: Public sector employees at any level who are working to improve people’s lives through new or updated policy implementation.
- Primary Industries – NEW: Leaders and innovators whose work is having a positive influence in the primary production sector.
- Young Leader: Young achievers aged between 16 and 25 who are already acting as a catalyst for change, and representing the next generation of New Zealanders and their aspirations.
- Everyone knows someone who’s striving to create positive change in their community or industry. This is your chance to give them the recognition they deserve.
- Showcasing their experiences, achievements and lessons learned will help encourage others and energise them to do more.
- The awards programme is open to all entrants, from the farm gate to fashion halls, who are excelling in their field. Your nomination could help bring their story to a wider audience and extend their influence.
- To be eligible to enter the Young Leader category, all candidates must be under the age of 25 years and over the age of 16 years.
- To be eligible for the Business Enterprise category, all businesses must have been registered with NZ Companies Register for at least three years.
