The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is announcing the availability of up to $5 million in Wetland Mitigation Banking Program (WMBP) grant funds for the development and establishment of mitigation banks and banking opportunities solely for agricultural producers with wetlands subject to the wetland conservation compliance provisions of the Food Security Act of 1985.

- The estimated funding floor for this opportunity is $400,000 and the estimated funding ceiling is $1,000,000.
- The Federal funding agency expects to award approximately $5 million through this opportunity. However, the agency retains the discretion to award a larger or lesser amount.
- Projects may be up to 4 years in duration.
- The agency expects to make 5-10 awards.

- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education

- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
