The Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic has announced a call for proposals for projects (HRMGSC – Organisation of awareness raising campaigns – raising awareness on selected areas of domestic and gender-based violence) funded by the Norway Grants 2014-2021 under the Human Rights Programme.
The aim of the Program is to improve the human rights situation and combat discrimination and extremism in the Czech Republic. In Program Area 22 – Domestic and Gender-Based Violence, this Call focuses on the implementation of awareness-raising campaigns in the areas of combating gender stereotypes, combating new forms of gender-based violence and involving men in combating gender-based violence and promoting gender equality.
Aims
The aim of the Call is to support awareness-raising campaigns in the areas of:
- tackling g ender stereotypes, sexism and the root causes of domestic and gender-based violence,
- tackling emerging forms of gender-based violence,
- motivating men to engage in the prevention of domestic and gender-based violence and the promotion of gender equality.
Funding Information
- The financial allocation of the Call decisive for the selection of the projects to be funded is 1,000,000 EUR.
- The minimum grant amount is 50,000 EUR.
- The maximum grant amount is 200,000 EUR
- The project implementation period is a minimum of 12 months. The latest date for completion of the project and all its activities is 30 April 2024.
Eligible Activities
In the project the following types of eligible activities related to the prevention of domestic and gender-based violence may be implemented:
- organising courses, workshops, trainings, seminars, lectures and other awareness-raising activities for various target groups in the field of gender-based violence and gender equality;
- advocacy activities to improve the prevention of domestic and gender-based violence;
- production and dissemination of professional and promotional documents (including audio-visual) related to domestic and gender-based violence;
- creating initiatives, methods, networks and alliances aimed at raising awareness and gaining the support of different actors (civil sector, private sector, public administration, etc.) for the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of gender equality;
- raising awareness of international standards (in particular international conventions and recommendations of international organizations) in the field of domestic and gender-based violence and gender equality;
- preparation of analyzes and research related to public attitudes towards domestic and gender-based violence and gender equality;
- implementation of activities aimed at raising awareness of new forms of domestic and gender-based violence (eg sexual violence in the online environment);
- implementation of activities aimed at increasing the availability of information to prevent domestic and gender-based violence among particularly vulnerable groups (persons with disabilities, the elderly, Roma men and women, LGBT + persons, migrants, etc.);
- evaluation of the impact of implemented awareness-raising activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants shall be non-governmental non-profit organizations established as legal persons in the Czech Republic as follows:
- Association selon Act, the Civil Code as Amended; Subsidiary Association representing an organizational unit of an Association is not considered an eligible applicant;
- Institute according to Act, the Civil Code as amended;
- Special-purpose entity of a registered church and religious society established by the church and religious society for the provision of charitable services according to Act, on freedom of religion and status of churches and religious societies and amending certain laws (the Act on Churches and Religious Communities); as amended;
- Public benefit organization according to the to Act, the Civil Code, as amended, that refers to the Act, on public benefit organizations and on amendments to certain acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as public benefit organization);
- Foundation or endowment fund according to the Act, the Civil Code, as amended.
