The European Economic Area (EEA) has launched an open call for proposals on Improvement of the Quality of Services so that They Meet the Required Standards, Including Specific Services for Children Victims.
The main ambition of this Call is to support building and expansion of existing network of social service providers – shelters and counselling centres for victims of Domestic and Gender-based Violence, including specific services for children victims.
The objective of this call is the improvement of quality of services provided by existing shelters and counselling centres not meeting the European Standards. Establishment of a new centre or shelter is also supported, provided that the applicant already operates another shelter or counselling centre meeting the European Standards. Enhancement of specific services for children victims provided by the shelters and counselling centres is required in all supported projects.
Priorities
- Entities strongly motivated to help women victims of violence and their children, truly committed to adhere to the European Standards, with at least certain experience in providing services to women victims of violence and their children.
- Strong organisations willing to establish new or enhance existing services for women victims of violence and their children in compliance with the European Standards1 in regions of Slovakia where these kind of services are seriously underrepresented.
- Projects combining provision of services both through shelters and counselling centres.
- Projects in which all counselling centres and/or shelters involved enhance their services in terms of children needs.
- Total allocation: EUR 2,000,000
- Maximum grant to be applied for: EUR 500,000
- Minimum grant to be applied for: EUR 200,000
Eligible Activities
- Building and expanding of existing network of social services providers – shelters and counselling centres for victims of Domestic and Gender-based Violence through:
- establishment of regional branches of already existing specialised service providers
- specialisation of existing service providers on Domestic and Gender-based Violence victims so that they meet the European standards. This should be carried out in cooperation with the specialised service providers, e.g. through supervision and special training
- Support of establishment or expanding of facilities and services for children victims or witnesses of violence in the shelters and counselling centres
- Other supporting activities needed to expand and enhance the services for victims of Domestic and Gender-based Violence related to the area of Domestic and Gender-based Violence.
