The Ballarat Foundation is pleased to announce the Peter Amor Sports Participation Fund (PASPF) to allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to participate in sport, by assisting with some of the financial barriers that may otherwise have prevented this.
The Peter Amor Sports Participation Fund Grant program is an annual grant program delivered by the Ballarat Foundation United Way Inc. in a bid to break the cycles of disadvantage within Ballarat and surrounding areas.
Funding Information
The Peter Amor Sports Participation Fund Grant program distributes grants of up to $5,000 to sporting clubs, groups and organizations promoting sporting pursuits to provide access to, or encourage participation from, disadvantaged individuals and groups.
How Must The Funds Be Used?
The successful applicants may only use funds to promote, encourage or facilitate greater access to sporting participation for junior sport groups or individuals (under the age of 18 years) facing disadvantage or in need through a single project, event or planned strategy.
Funds cannot be used for
- individual or small group training:
- infrastructure: or
- any other pursuits which do not promote or assist participation by young people under the age of 18 years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications will be accepted from:
- Sporting clubs, groups or organizations promoting sporting pursuits and working directly with families and children to provide junior players (under the age of 18 years) with equal access to participate in sport within Ballarat and surrounding communities.
- Applicants must be registered with the ACNC and/or demonstrate how the program or project aligns with a charitable purpose as specified in the Charities Act 2013.
