The Petro Canada CareMakers Foundation is accepting applications for its Local Grants Program to provide financial support for organizations that provide direct support to family caregivers in communities across Canada.
The Petro Canada CareMakers Foundation’s vision is a country where family caregivers are valued, recognized and supported. As a newly formed Foundation, they know this is only achieved in partnership with organizations who are experts in their field. To achieve their goal, they are pleased to accept applications for funding from registered Canadian charitable organizations who support family caregivers in Canada.
They know there are many local organizations across Canada who are providing vital resources and direct support to family caregivers. These resources could range from educational programs, transportation, meal assistance, respite care, emotional, financial and community support, healthcare navigation to other types of vital assistance. It’s their goal to positively impact the lives of family caregivers in communities across the country by providing operational support for these types of local programs.
Funding Information
Local grants are single year grants with a maximum value of $7,500.
Eligibility Criteria
Canadian registered charities, often smaller in scale, whose work involves support of family caregivers at the community level.
Exclusions
They are unable to consider applications for the following:
- advertising
- a professional sports group or team
- endowment funds
- fundraising campaigns or events
- religious purposes, except secular programs provided by faith-based organizations that are open to any person, regardless of their religious beliefs and without the requirement of a belief in a specific faith to receive services
- sponsorship of an event
- support for a specific individual, caregiver or family
