The French Embassy in Yaounde has launched a new call for proposals for its PISCCA program to support innovative projects in 2021 and 2022 in the fields of environmental protection, peace promotion, and gender equality.
The Innovative Projects of Civil Societies and Coalitions of Actors (PISCCA) is the main support tool for civil society and Cameroonian youth carried by the French Embassy. The PISCCA supported 12 projects between 2019 and 2020 implemented by Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) for a total amount of 400 000€.
Focus Areas
The submitted project must align with one of the following topics:
- Promotion of peace in crisis regions (North-West, South-West, Far North).
- Protection of biodiversity and forests within Protected Areas.
- Promotion of women’s rights and the fight against all forms of gender-based and sexual violence.
Funding Information
Two financing windows:
- Traditional window: Window for CSOs with proven experience in project management. Funding between 40,000 € (26,238,234 FCFA) and 60,000 € (39,357,420 FCFA) for projects not exceeding 10 months of implementation.
- Cultural window: Window for emerging structures or small CSOs, presenting a project addressing in an innovative way the above topics through a cultural and creative approach. Funding between € 10,000 (6,559,558 FCFA) and € 20,000 (13,119,140 FCFA) for projects not exceeding 8 months of implementation.
Eligibility Criteria
- PISCCA is aimed at Cameroonian CSOs (associations, groupings of common interest, networks of associations, non-governmental organizations) legally constituted for at least 2 years.
