The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Action Fund supports voluntary groups to deliver activities in line with priorities 2, 3 and 4 of the Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Plan 2025-2029.
Priorities
- Grants can be used to fund activities which will address the following priorities:
- Reduce violence and serious harm
- Tackle crimes that matter most to local communities
- Improve the experience of victims and deliver justice
- Under these three headings, the following are the key outcomes being sought, but other activities which address the above priorities will also be considered:
- Reduce violence and serious harm
- Reduce knife crime and gang-related violence
- Victims and vulnerable people feel supported
- Reduce the vulnerability of victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, violence against women and girls, exploitation and child abuse
- Tackle the crimes that matter most to local communities
- Increase residents’ feelings of safety in their communities
- Reduce the volume of anti-social behaviour incidents in the communities
- Work to reduce the numbers of killed and seriously injured people on Wiltshire’s roads
- Reduce rural crimes
- Improve the experience of victims and deliver justice
- Victims are supported throughout, receiving emotional and practical support, and being updated about progress of their case through the criminal justice service
- Ensure offenders recognise the impact of their crimes and they reduce the risk of them offending again harming more victims
- Reduce violence and serious harm
Funding Information
- Grants for 1 year from £750 to £5,000
Eligibility Criteria
- You can apply for a grant if you are a:
- constituted voluntary or community organisation
- registered charity
- not-for-profit company including community interest companies where the majority of directors receive no payment from the company
- You need to be a:
- local or regional organisation only working in Wiltshire or Swindon or in the south/south west of England
- local branch of a national organisation with a local management committee based in Wiltshire or Swindon and your own bank account
Ineligibility Criteria
- They don’t fund:
- individuals
- schools
- statutory bodies such as city, county or parish councils or health institutions
- charities that operate nationally
