The North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission is now inviting applications for its Programming & Project Assistance Grants to support a wide range of activities that add value to the arts and cultural experiences of North Vancouver residents from the ongoing programming of established arts non-profits to new and innovative initiatives that will be considered on a project-by-project basis.
Categories
- New Initiatives Grants: New Initiatives Grants are intended to support creative risk-taking in the form of pilot projects, new initiatives in development and the early work of emerging groups.
- Program & Project Grants: Program & Project Grants are intended to support creative programs and projects of all kinds that exhibit quality artistic, cultural or heritage practices, and that clearly articulate a high level of benefit to the community.
- Annual Programming Support: Annual Programming Support provides annual support for year-round programming initiatives across a wide range of artistic, creative and/or cultural practices.
Supports
- The general purpose of the Programming & Project Assistance program is to support programs or projects:
- that directly engage the creativity of the community;
- that demonstrate a type or level of arts and cultural experience not otherwise available in North Vancouver;
- that foster the development of new, emerging and innovative arts practices; or
- that are inclusive of diverse artistic traditions and cross-cultural practices.
Funding Information
- New Initiatives Grants: Grants may be awarded up to a maximum of $6,500 or 35% of the proposed project budget.
- Program & Project Grants: Grants may be awarded up to a maximum of $12,500 or 30% of the proposed budget.
- Annual Programming Support: Grants are available up to a maximum of $22,500 or up to 25% of the proposed budget.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be considered eligible for Programming & Project Assistance, organizations must:
- be a registered not-for-profit or charitable organization OR recognized arts group whose primary purpose is to provide arts and cultural experiences;
- have a history of delivering quality arts and cultural programs and services for a period of at least one year prior to the application; and
- conduct the programs or projects for which they are seeking support in North Vancouver, or be able to clearly demonstrate the benefit of the proposed programs or projects to North Vancouver residents.
