The Prosper Wakefield District is pleased to announce Small Grants to provide financial support for community groups, charities and social enterprises as needed, to support their core costs, to continue an existing project, or to assist towards a new project.
The funding will provide financial support for voluntary and community groups, charities and social enterprises, across the Wakefield district. Grants will be awarded to Charities and Not for Profits who are currently working with people and communities to help them develop their activities and approaches, and service delivery. The grant could be for projects, materials for the organisation, salaries, equipment or simply to pay the bills.
Funding Information
- Grants are available from £500 to £20,000
Ineligible Activities
- Activities/services which promote any religious or political cause.
- Activities/services which a local authority has a statutory duty to provide.
- Initiatives where the funds are to be re-allocated out to other groups or individuals.
- From local branches of national charities unless locally managed, financially autonomous and not in receipt of financial support from the national body.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply all organisations must have:
- a constitution/governance document.
- annual accounts. If you are a small organisation or a new group, this can be a summary of financial activity or a projected income and expenditure document.
- a bank account in the name of the organisation with at least 2 unrelated signatories.
- safeguarding procedures in place.
