The Municipality of novo Sarajevo in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has announced a public invitation to civil society organizations (CSOs)/ non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for submission of project proposals under the project regional program of local democracy in the western balkans (reload).
Objectives
The overall goal of this call is to further strengthen the partnership between civil society organizations and local self-government by building awareness of the benefits of mutual cooperation and encouraging sustainable dialogue, all with the aim of providing better services to the local community.
Priorities
- Education
- Improving the knowledge and competencies of primary and secondary school students in the field of informatics and computing, electronics, robotics, programming and other related disciplines (through the organization of various educations, workshops, competitions and other similar activities);
- Providing assistance to primary and secondary school students in mastering materials from certain subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, foreign languages, computer science, etc.);
- Creating an e-portal to support the mastery of teaching content;
- Human rights education and promotion of various conventions in order to raise awareness and inform citizens;
- Culture
- Improving the quality and accessibility of cultural content for all categories of the population through the promotion of various types of culture, art, cultural and artistic amateurism and volunteerism;
- Promotion of tradition and cultural heritage;
- Nurturing a culture of remembrance for students of Novi Sarajevo primary schools and other activities;
- Sport
- Improving the quality and availability of sports and recreational facilities for all categories of the population through the promotion and advancement of sports;
- Projects related to recreational programs intended for the veteran population;
- Youth Support
- Projects aimed at educating young people about entrepreneurship;
- Strengthening the capacity and capacity of young people for research, development and innovation;
- Providing professional assistance and support to children and youth at risk of unwanted behavior, as well as improving the mental health of children and youth during and after the pandemic (counseling, psychosocial assistance and similar activities);
- Promotion of healthy lifestyles and reproductive health;
- Suppot for Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities
- Improving the quality and availability of educational and sports-recreational content for children with disabilities;
- Providing support to the education of students with disabilities through the introduction of new technologies and methods;
- Capacity building and training of persons with disabilities;
- Environment Protection
- Improvement of environmental protection in the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo in accordance with the Program of education and training on environmental protection for 2021;
- Providing support to the development of urban agriculture;
- Raising public awareness on waste management;
- Promotion of alternative energy sources.
Funding Information
- The value of the project proposals to be awarded under this call must be between the following minimum and maximum amount:
- minimum amount: 10,000.00 KM
- maximum amount: 70,000.00 KM
- One civil society organization may submit several project proposals within one or more public calls, with the maximum amount of funds that can be allocated for project implementation to one civil society organization during the total duration of the ReLOaD2 project 120,000.00 KM.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for the public call, applicants must:
- be formally registered CSOs in accordance with applicable legislation (association);
- Potential applicants cannot participate in the call or receive grants if they do not submit a signed and scanned eligibility statement with the project proposal.
- This public call is not open to branches of foreign and international associations, foundations and other non-profit organizations registered and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
