The SMART Balkans Project announces a public call for applications for Local initiatives Grants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia.
SMART Balkans Project, funded by the Norway Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is implemented by consortium of organizations: Centar za promociju civilnog drustva (CPCD) from Bosnia and Herzegovina as a Lead Applicant, in partnership with Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) from North Macedonia, and Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia.
Objectives
- Overall objective of the Project is to contribute to strengthening participatory democracies and Euro Atlantic integrations in the Western Balkans by empowering civil society organizations and CSO networks for stronger and active role in creating peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
- Specific objectives of the SMART Balkans project are:
- Stronger, more sustainable, and vibrant CSOs in the six countries of the Western Balkans region
- Developed strong regional partnerships between civil society organizations from the region of the Western Balkans themselves and with their EU counterparts and public authorities
- Increased effectiveness of citizen influencing change through CSOs that advances Security and Stability and Governance in the Western Balkans region
- Increased awareness of public on importance of active participation of civil society in major development initiatives in the region of Western Balkans

Funding Information
- This Call About Albania is NOK 733,000 ( approx . EUR 70,000), for 9 grants, with the maximum individual grant amount to to NOK 81,430 (EUR 7,800).
- Within this call, SMART Balkan will support at least ten projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina with an allocated grant amount of NOK 16,260.00 to NOK 81,430.00 (approx. EUR 1,533.00 – 7,669.00) per project.
- Amounts total available according to this call is about Kosovo is NOK 570,000 ( approx . EUR 54,000), for 7 grants, with the maximum individual grant amount to to NOK 81,430 (EUR 7,800).
- Within this call, SMART Balkan will support at least four projects in Montenegro with an allocated grant amount of NOK 16,260.00 to NOK 81,430.00 (approx. EUR 1,533.00 – 7,669.00) per project.
- Within this call, SMART Balkan will support 9 projects from S. Macedonia, a the amount of the grant will range from to 81430 NOK 7890 €.
- Within this call, SMART Balkan will support at least ten projects in Serbia with an allocated grant amount of NOK 16,260.00 to NOK 81,430.00 (approx. EUR 1,533.00 – 7,669.00) per project.
- Duration of initiatives of supported will be from 6 to in 12 months.

- Campaign advocacy including preparation of materials promotional AND awareness (eg summaries policies , research , videos, events , performance , products media , excluding material promoter of printed ).
- Working groups development of plans cafeteria of action, strategies local , engagement of experts,
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for a grant, applicant must:
- Of be a legal person;
- Of BE non-profit;
- of BE civil society organization (CSO), that works IN A or more many field thematic of Significant ABOUT this call ABOUT Applications , excluding organizations political, religious , etc and branches cafeteria of organization international;
- Of established life in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, S. Macedonia, Serbia
- Of BE directly responsible ABOUT the preparation AND project management, like intermediary.
