The Tuzla Community Foundation invites organizations and informal groups of citizens to propose projects that will enable citizens to engage in activities actively and create content for the benefit of the community and solve common problems in the Tuzla Canton.
In partnership with the Porticus Foundation and the Olof Palme International Center, the Foundation publishes a Public Call for financial support for projects from the Tuzla Canton area.
Support is implemented with the aim of strengthening local organizations and local initiatives that bring citizens together and encourage them to self-organize, participate and be inclusive in solving specific problems in their local communities, settlements, cities and the entire country.
Goals
The main goal of the Fund is the improvement and development of active communities in the area of Tuzla Canton, through the co-financing of projects and initiatives of active citizens to solve common problems, with the maximum use of all available local resources and the promotion of cooperation between the public, civil and business sectors.
Areas
Within this call, they want to support projects that encourage cross-sector partnerships and that will especially improve the following areas of life:
- Conservation of Nature, Care of the Environment And Climate;
- Quality Education and Lifelong Learning;
- Reducing Inequality and Human Rights;
- Development of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Spirit.
What do they support?
- Innovative projects from different areas of social life that respond to the needs of the local community according to the annual action plan submitted to local communities.
- Projects that promote civic activism and volunteerism and are based on the volunteer engagement of applicants.
- Projects that are aimed at concretely solving a specific problem or meeting a specific need in the community.
- They support projects that last from 1 month to a maximum of 6 months.
- The projects must be implemented in the period from October to the end of March 2023 (without possible extensions due to the completion of the project)
- The value of support for one project can range from 500.00 KM to 3,000.00 KM.
- Priority is given to communities that joined the Network of Active Communities in 2021, as well as communities that do not currently have an active project.
Eligibility Criteria
Local groups for community development, active members of the Network of Active Communities, can apply from the following areas:
- Cities of Tuzla: Dobrnja, Gornja Tuzla, Kreka, Lipnica, Par Selo, Simin Han, Solina, Husino, Tušanj, Dragunja,
- Cities of Srebrenik : Luka, Tinja,
- Kalesija municipalities: Seljubje, Kalesija,
- Lukavac municipalities: Bokavići, Turija, Hrvati
- City of Gradačac: Svirac ,
- Municipality of Gračanica: Škahovica,
- Municipality of Čelić: Čelić, Šibošnica ,
- City of Živinica: Donja Dubrave.
