The UNDP Cambodia has been implementing the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme initiative to promote environmental protection and improve livelihood of communities, executed by UNOPS.
The Small Grants Programme (SGP) works directly by providing grants and technical support to local NGOs and community-based organizations (CBOs).
UNDP Cambodia would like to invite local NGOs and CBOs working on environmental conservation, climate change adaptation and poverty reduction in:
- all villages, communes, districts inside and nearby the Central Cardamom Mountain National Park and Biodiversity hotspots in Cambodia, as well as
- those focusing on innovative energy access for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in Cambodia, to submit their project concept papers for the grants.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to US$ 50,000 per project are available and distributed on a competitive basis.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Small Business Grants Program provides grants to local government and community-based organizations (LNGO/CBO) that are registered with the Ministry of Agriculture or Rural Development.
- Implementation of the project for a period of 1 or 2 years, depending on the type/size of the project (the type of project and the capacity of the requesting organization (LNGO/CBO).
- The people who are involved should be very careful about the development and implementation of the project and the implementation of the project in the country.
- The people who receive the project should consider whether through the project, gender equality and social inclusion can reach women, minorities, youth and people with disabilities in the country.
