The Tendring District Council is requesting grant applications for capital works improve perceptions of its local area, increase use of existing facilities and to support local community programmes.
The Rural England Prosperity Fund is an allocation of funding made to Tendring District Council (TDC), and other Councils nationally, to support rural businesses and communities as part of the wider programme of Levelling Up and linked to other opportunities available via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
REPF can only support capital works, applicants should think about any revenue elements of their project and how they could be funded from elsewhere; both in delivering the project in the first place and also any ongoing maintenance/repair costs which may be involved.
Funding Information
- This Grant Fund will allocate around £75,000 this financial year.
- £20,000 in grant funding is the maximum an organisation can receive from this Scheme but is not a cap on the total project cost.
Eligibility Criteria
- Not-for-Profit groups/organisations are invited to apply.
- Community focussed grants are available for capital works only.
- The community strand includes the following interventions, as per Government’s criteria:
- Funding for investment and support for digital infrastructure for local community facilities.
- Funding for investment in capacity building and infrastructure support for local civil society and community groups.
- Funding for creation of and improvements to local rural green spaces.
- Funding for existing cultural, historic and heritage institutions that make up the local cultural heritage offer.
- Funding for local arts, cultural, heritage and creative activities.
- Funding for active travel enhancements in the local area.
- Funding for rural circular economy projects.
- Funding for impactful volunteering and social action projects to develop social and human capital in local places.
