Are you ready to turn your innovative programming project into reality or expand your existing initiatives? The Digital Coalition, as a regional hub, has launched a call for project proposals that can benefit from microgrants to support impactful activities in digital education, programming and computational thinking.
The aim of this call for grants is to identify and support effective local coding projects that are in line with the EU Code Week mission to promote coding, computational thinking and digital skills across Europe. Projects that focus on coding activities, computational thinking and digital skills development will be supported.
Objectives
Supporting the development of innovative and scalable programming activities;
Supporting initiatives that integrate programming into educational contexts and encourage participation;
Promoting community involvement and collaboration between relevant actors;
Prioritizing projects that reduce gender gaps and encourage diversity in STEM education.
Funding Information
- Grants will be awarded to the first 3 winning projects, as follows:
- EUR 2,500 – 1st place
- EUR 1,500 – 2nd place
- EUR 1,000 – 3rd place
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants:
- Schools (primary, middle, high schools);
- NGO type;
- Programming clubs.
Evaluation Criteria
Clear and complete presentation of the project;
Design coherence: the extent to which the proposed activities align with Code Week priorities and are feasible within the context of available resources;
Educational quality in programming and computational thinking: use of programming languages (including block-based), unplugged approaches, etc.;
The teaching quality of the proposal: methodologies, integration with core subjects (literacy, mathematics, digital skills), evaluation tools, territorial synergies and stakeholder involvement;
Estimated impact: number and diversity of participants, involvement of girls, integration into STEM education.
