The Rosewood Initiative is seeking applications for its Rosewood Small Business Enhancement Grant.
These grants must be used for onsite renovations or construction projects at your business. They are especially interested in projects that improve the overall appearance of the neighborhood. The projects must be permanent, such as new lighting, signage, fencing, murals or painting, landscaping, etc.
Eligible Projects
Examples of eligible projects:
- New signage
- New lighting
- Indoor or outdoor painting
- Murals
- Windows, doors, flooring, or other interior renovations
- Permanent outdoor seating areas
- Landscaping and green spaces
Requirements
- Projects must be “sticks and bricks”, meaning they are permanent improvements or constructions that cannot be moved from the site. Projects can be exterio or interior.
- The project must be completed within 1 year of grant approval.
- Businesses are required to provide a 25% match of the grant amount. For example, if Rosewood approves a project with a budget of $12,500, the grant award will be $10,000, and the business will need to contribute $2,500.
- Businesses are required to obtain at least 2 quotes from contractors to determine a reasonable budget for the project.
- If you're a tenant, must have 2 yrs left on your lease
- Must obtain landlord approval
