The Saratoga Arts is offering Individual Artist Grants to create new work and share their creative process with their community.
Artists of al disciplines and genres who reside in Fulton, Montgomery or Saratoga counties are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The Artist Grant focuses on an individual artist’s work, with the goal of enhancing artistic career development, technical skills, and broadening exposure, while fostering creative, resourceful and inspiring connections between artists and a community.
Priorities
Funding priority is given to the arts-related aspect for the proposed project:
- Artist fees
- Art-related supplies and materials needed for the execution of the program
- Marketing/publicity and other outreach costs (postcards, fliers, online marketing, etc.)
Funding Information
Individual Artists Grants are a funding category within the regrant program and provide awards of $1.000 – $2,500 to directly support individual artists.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible artists residing in Fulton, Montgomery, or Saratoga County. Proof of residency is required. All documents must contain the individual’s name and address and documentation must be dated no earlier than two years prior to an application. List of acceptable proof of residency documents must include one of the following:
- Telephone Bill
- Credit card or bank statement (first page only; social security and financial information should be blocked)
- Current lease or mortgage agreement listing the artist’s name and NYS County address
- NY State Drivers License or ID card
- Voter Registration Card
- All arts disciplines are eligible.
- Applicant artists must be 18 years old and may not be enrolled in a full-time degree program.
- Student projects are not eligible for support.
- Funded Projects must occur between January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022.
- Current direct NYSCA applicants may not apply for any SCR regrants.
- Previous Artist Grant recipients are not eligible to re-apply for three years following the receipt of their grant award.
