The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) is inviting Norwegian institutions of higher education to apply for project development funding, to facilitate applications for long-term (3-years) project cooperation in the Eurasia Programme.
The overall aim of the programme is to contribute to renewal and internationalisation of higher education in the cooperating countries, as a means to provide a basis for political and economic reforms, stimulate to a sustainable development, increase the level of education in the population and increase respect for human rights.
This call will fund preparatory visits and development of project proposals related to the Eurasia Programme. The programme supports collaboration projects with higher education institutions in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Grant Information
A maximum of NOK 1 000 000 is available in this call. Projects may be awarded up to NOK 60 000.
Activities
The following activities may be included in the application:
- Travel and meeting costs for visits between the project partners
- Salary and indirect costs up to 30 per cent of the total project budget.
- Other relevant costs
Selection Criteria
- The eligible applications’ relative strength will be assessed on the degree to which they are deemed able to meet the following selection criteria:
- The application meets the aim, objectives and criteria of the main call for applications in the Eurasia Programme.
- The likelihood that the project development funding will lead to a project proposal of high quality.
- The demonstrated added value of the project development funding. Partners who already have a history of collaboration must demonstrate the additional value of the project development funding, and why these activities could not be expected to have been carried out as part of the previous or ongoing collaboration.
- The overall quality of the application, including the description of activities, alignment of proposed activities with budget allocations, and demonstration of cost-efficiency.
- Priority may be given to applicants who have not previously received Eurasia Project Development Funding.
