The Two Ridings Community Foundation is inviting applications for its Sixpenny Wood Wind Farm Fund to benefit local residents affected by the construction and operation of the wind farm.
This grant scheme is for the benefit of the area around the Sixpenny Wood Wind Farm in East Yorkshire. The villages of Blacktoft, Eastrington, Gilberdyke, Hook, Kilpin and Laxton are included as part of the scheme.
It is administered by the Two Ridings Community Foundation on behalf of Greencoat UK Wind.
You can apply for a grant for a variety of community projects that:
- Enhance the quality of life for local residents
- Contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities
- Promote community spirit and encourage community activity.
Funding Information
- You can apply all year round for micro grants of up to £500. Once you have applied, they aim to make decisions on micro grant applications within six weeks.
- They will consider grants of £501 to £10,000 at a panel meeting once a year. If you are applying for over £3,000, please show that this is an for exceptional project and can demonstrate significant community benefit.
Eligibility Criteria
- Small local charities and voluntary and community groups can apply. They must be based in or serving the parishes of: Blacktoft, Eastrington, Gilberdyke, Hook, Kilpin and Laxton.
- Parish councils can also apply if the project is wholly charitable and falls outside of their usual remit.
