The Community Foundation for Staffordshire is seeking applications for the Stafford Borough Council Small Grants program. The program will award grants to organizations that provide facilities or services for people in the geographical area covered by Stafford Borough Council.
The Community Foundation for Staffordshire is an independent charity dedicated to strengthening local communities across Staffordshire and Shropshire. The foundation aims to tackle issues of disadvantage and exclusion through the building of permanent endowments and the allocation of grants.
Project Aims
The project must meet one of the following criteria:
- Benefit local residents
- Bring about a lasting benefit to members of the wider community
- Help to increase the organization’s sustainability or reach.
Funding Information
- Organizations may apply for grants between £100 and £1,000.
Eligible Costs
- Equipment costs
- Capital costs
- Training costs
- Core costs
- Revenue costs
- Project costs
- Event Costs
Ineligible Costs
This fund will not offer support for the following costs;
- Projects where funding could be obtained from Stafford Borough Council sports grants
- Projects where funding could be obtained from Stafford Borough Council arts grants
- Projects involving medical research
- Projects focused on animal welfare
- Funding towards religious projects or projects that promote religion, (although religious organizations can be funded for non-religious projects)
- Party political activities, (where one particular political party is promoted above another)
Geographic Reach
They will Fund
They will support organizations based in, or working for the benefit of people in the following local authority areas;
- Stafford
They cannot fund
This fund cannot support organizations who are based in, or working in the following local authority areas;
- Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Newcastle under Lyme, South Staffordshire, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stoke on Trent or Tamworth
- Any area outside Staffordshire
Eligibility Criteria
- The foundation will support the following types of organization:
- Constituted community groups
- Constituted voluntary groups
- Registered Charities
- Social Enterprises
- This fund will not offer funding to the following organizations;”
- Non-constituted community groups
- Non-constituted voluntary groups
- Organizations that have been established less than 12 months
- Statutory organizations
- Public sector bodies
- Organizations that have a statutory responsibility
- Organizations that do not have a proven track record of service delivery
- Limited companies, sole traders, or partnerships without charitable aims
- Organizations with an annual income of more than £100,000.
How To Apply
- Before making an application, please note that they cannot fund organizations that have received SBC grant funding within the last three years.
- To apply for a grant of between £200 and £1,000 please submit an application using their online application facility. You can attach your supporting documents to the application.
