Sony Electronics (“Sony”) today announced the launch of ‘CREATE ACTION’, a new $1 million grant program designed to support underserved, underrepresented communities by amplifying the efforts of local, non-profit organizations embedded within these communities.
The mission of CREATE ACTION is to amplify the efforts of local organizations through funding, storytelling, and collaboration with Sony. CREATE ACTION grants are designed to make a long-lasting impact for local organizations and the communities they serve.
Selected organizations will receive direct funding, Sony Electronics products and a custom-created promotional film, as well as many other opportunities for collaboration, partnership and marketing support.

Funding Information
- CREATE ACTION Grants Include:
- $50,000 in cash to continue and expand the organization’s work
- $50,000 in Sony Electronics products to support their mission
- A Sony-produced short film telling the organization’s story
- Additionally, Sony will provide grant winners:
- A custom short film promoting the organization’s mission and efforts, created in collaboration with a team of Sony-affiliated creators
- Support of the Sony brand and platform to help spread their message and raise awareness
- Additional opportunities for collaboration with Sony Electronics and extended network of corporate partners
Deliverables
The Grant winner will provide the following Deliverables:
- The Organization shall collaborate with Sony’s photographer/videographer to create a video/photographs to promote the Organization, its Action Plan and the Grant Program on a timeline defined together with Sony.
- The Organization shall disclose to Sony a detailed report on how the Grant Award impacted the Organization and their served community (i.e., impact metrics and data) six (6) months and twelve (12) months after the Grant is awarded to the Organization.

- Certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
- Local, community focused
- Annual operating budget up to $500,000
- CREATE ACTION is seeking grant applicants committed to serving their local communities in areas such as STEAM/academic enrichment, workforce development, and non-profit services for underserved and under-represented groups. Their mutual goal will be to create lasting positive change within the communities you serve.
