The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation is inviting applicants for its grant program to support projects in the areas of environment, social affairs, education and culture in Switzerland.

The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation is a non-profit foundation that is politically and religiously independent.


  • to promote and strengthen social cohesion and equalization in Switzerland as well as the integration and understanding of the different parts of the country;
  • to contribute to the preservation and development of the natural, cultural and spiritual values and goods essential to the identity of Switzerland.

    • the social, cultural and educational integration of native and immigrant children and adolescents
    • the integration of young people in the work process
  • In the field of education, the promotion of understanding and cohesion in Switzerland is their program theme.

    • Promoting understanding between the different language regions of Switzerland
    • Promoting the language skills of young people in the other national languages
    • Cultural exchange across the linguistic borders of Switzerland
  • In the field of culture, the preservation of cultural assets is their program theme.

    • Securing of important monuments and art monuments (except ruin renovations)
    • Securing collections, libraries, artistic and literary estates
