The Heart of England Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the South Birmingham Friends Institute Fund Programme is now open for applications to promote peace and justice, equality, and sustainability.
The fund aims to support smaller projects where modest donations make a significant difference; funding must be spent within 1 year.
Areas
- Peace and Justice – To help create a more peaceful and just society.
- For example,
- Projects that help develop more positive relationships within society.
- Projects that help promote justice within society.
- Equality – To help promote equality and support people those who suffer as a result of inequality.
- For example,
- Projects that champion diversity and inclusion within society
- Help those who are disadvantaged.
- Sustainability – To help improve the local and natural environment.
- For example,
- Promote education and awareness of sustainability.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to £2,000 are available.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following types of organisations can apply:
- Registered charities
- Charitable Incorporated Organisation
- Constituted Community groups
- Companies Limited by Guarantee with charitable aims
- Community Interest Companies
- Co-operatives – registered Community Benefit Societies and
- registered Industrial and Provident Societies
- Social Enterprises
Ineligibility Criteria
- Grants will not normally be made to the following types of organisations:
- Animal welfare
- Political groups or activities promoting political beliefs
- Religious groups seeking to influence people’s religious choices
- Sports groups with no community or charitable element
- Statutory bodies, Schools, Churches, Parish Councils or PTAs unless wider community benefit is demonstrated
- Larger or national charities that are based outside the area
- Individuals
