The South Eveleigh is pleased to announce the Community Grants Program.
South Eveleigh is committed to making a positive contribution to its community. Grants can play an important role in community development and support active participation within communities. They empower the community to address issues that matter to them and take the lead on projects to enhance community life.
Program Details
- South Eveleigh will accept community grant applications in the following categories:
- Local community welfare programs or initiatives, including those that assist disadvantaged groups.
- Local education programs include, but are not limited, to those involving adult education or learning disabilities.
- Local youth leadership programs or initiatives aimed at giving young people opportunities for self-development and community service.
- Local technology or innovation projects.
- Local cultural projects such as public art, cultural workshops, and community art projects
- Heritage – projects and events celebrating the history of the area.
Funding Information
- Project amounts are $5,000, $6,500, or up to a maximum of $10,000 per grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisations and Charities are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-forprofit Commission (ACNC).
- Applications Applicants must meet all the following primary criteria:
- Be a Not-For-Profit (NFP) organisation or Registered Charity
- Be relevant or connected to the local South Eveleigh community
- Have a link to the South Eveleigh values of safety, people, innovation, integrity, and accountability
- Enable South Eveleigh to mention the grant recipient on its website and as part of its reporting processes.
- A geographical reach that corresponds to the South Eveleigh precinct. Applicants must be within a 5km radius of the South Eveleigh precinct.
- An ability to engage with the key stakeholders
- Applicants must meet at least one (1) of the secondary criteria, providing an opportunity for:
- South Eveleigh to access any relevant research or data findings (e.g. environmental research)
- South Eveleigh representatives to meet the charity or NFP organisation’s, stakeholders
- South Eveleigh to be represented at community events or presentations
