The South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF) is seeking applications for its South Yorkshire Health and Wellbeing Mayoral Community Fund to address health & well-being across South Yorkshire.
The South Yorkshire Mayor believes that they can be a prosperous, innovative, successful, fair-minded and tolerant society – the sort of place where they all want to live, work and bring up their children; a country respected around the world with as bright a future as it has a proud past.
Aims
The aim of this funding is to address key social issues such as:
- Mental health in disproportionately affected communities across South Yorkshire
- Funding community organisations supporting social and green prescribing
- Physical well-being and mental health
- Engaging young people in activities addressing health and well-being

Funding Information
- Grants of up to £10,000 maximum for community organisations
- Grants of up to £10,000 maximum are available for up to 8 months. Note: the total pot of funding for the region is £180,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be:
- A registered charity,
- A community interest company, or
- Another constituted community organisation or social enterprise (including companies limited by guarantee, cooperatives and community benefit societies which are strictly notfor-profit)
- To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have a governing document (e.g. a constitution or memorandum of association),
- Have a board or management committee of at least three unrelated people,
- Have a bank account in the name of the group requiring at least two unrelated signatories,
- Have an equal opportunities, health and safety and safeguarding policy,
- Have beneficiaries who live in South Yorkshire
- Be locally led and run.
