The Acción Cultural Española AC/E is inviting applications for Residencies Program for Internationalization of Spanish Culture (PICE).
These bases expressly regulate the reference call and, for all purposes, will be subject to what is established in the regulatory framework of the PICE.
Objectives

The purpose of this call is to support the training and expansion of professional experience, as well as the dissemination of Spanish culture through the participation of creators, researchers and professionals, Spanish or residents in Spain, of culture in residency programs . This aim is specified in the following specific objectives:
- Disseminate and promote the development of the Spanish cultural sector, highlighting the richness and quality of their creators and professionals of culture;
- Consolidate and expand the presence of national or resident creators, in areas that they strengthen the international presence and favor its promotion;
- Provide Spanish professionals with suitable work spaces in institutions with a national profile in order to support the development of their projects, their training or access to new knowledge or physical and cultural environments.
- Promote and facilitate connectivity and solid and permanent relationships between institutions Spanish and creators and professionals of the sector.
- Extend the activity of Spanish institutions and creators to new territories and publics, establishing bridges with local and national institutions, as well as supporting the relationship between Spanish and foreign entities;
- Commit to meeting the objectives of the 2030 Agenda, especially with regard to gender equality, reduction of inequalities, sustainability and climate action.
- Promote actions in environments of strategic interest for AC/E (populations of less than 50,000 inhabitants, rural areas, areas in economic recovery).
- Pursue the excellence of the Program betting on the solvency of the receiving institutions, the quality of the Programs and the coherence between them and the economic cost that they suppose
Fields of action and Sectoral Objectives

Applications may only be submitted by Spanish cultural entities and institutions that offer residency programs linked to any of the following areas:
- Proposals from other areas will not be accepted, nor will they come from other types of institutions or individuals.
- In accordance with the strategic lines of AC/E, in this call, the score will be assessed for those Residency programs that are carried out in towns with less than 50,000 inhabitants, rural environments and areas in economic recovery.
Funding Information
- The general call of the PICE-National Residences for 2023 is endowed with a maximum budget of 200,000 euros.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications for Spanish residents to participate in Spanish residences supported by PICE-Residencias may only be requested by Spanish cultural entities and institutions, public or private, legally and fiscally constituted in the country of residence of said applicant and with the capacity to issue commercial billing.
- These institutions will belong to the field of architecture and design, visual arts, cinema, dance and circus, literature and books, music, theater or video games and animation. Proposals from other areas will not be accepted, nor will they come from other types of institutions or individuals.
- The proposed residents, individual creators or artistic groups, must have been chosen by the applicant entity prior to the submission of the application.

Applicant entities must provide a document that certifies:
- Their legal nature,
- That they are responsible for organizing the residence for which the residence permit is requested.
- Who formally request the economic incentive
- If there are other institutions that co-participate in the organization of the residence.
- This document will be sent in the language in which it was originally written. If said language is other than English or Spanish, a translation into one of these two languages signed by the entity's representatives will be provided as part of that document. The applicant will be responsible for the accuracy of the translation.
- Applicant entities must complete the form published on the AC/E website to participate in the specific call for PICE-Residencias.
- The proposals presented, that is, each one of the participants or groups, Spanish or resident in Spain, for which the economic consideration is requested, must have a co-financing commitment equivalent to at least 30 percent on the part of the applicant. of the proposal for which the benefit is requested. This means that the candidate entity cannot ask AC/E for more than 70 percent of the residence budget. Applicants must expressly confirm this co-financing commitment for their applications to be considered.
