The City of Onkaparinga is pleased to launch the Sport and Active Recreation Grant Program.
Purpose
The Sport and Active Recreation Grants align with the Community Plan 2030 theme of ‘People’ (‘their communities are active and healthy’), strategic plans including (but not limited to) the Sport and Active Recreation Action Plan 2021–25. The funding provides recognition and support to individuals and groups who reside in the City of Onkaparinga and who have been selected to compete in sporting and active recreation events.
Objectives
Increase Participation – They will support all residents in their community to be physically active through sport and active recreation.
Funding Information
Event/competition location: Individuals / Groups of 10+ people
- Intrastate (within South Australia) $50 / $500
- Interstate $100 / $1000
- International $150 / $1500
Eligibility Criteria
- Residents that live in the City of Onkaparinga
- Must be competing in an interstate or international competition or travelling intrastate with a distance greater than 250km (this distance is applied to attendance at a single event, and does not include multiple journeys).
- To be eligible for funding, an applicant must not have an overdue grant acquittal with City of Onkaparinga. You will need to satisfactorily acquit previously awarded grants before being eligible to apply for this grant. Organisations that have had unsatisfactory dealings with council may be also be precluded from receiving funding.
- Groups or organisations that are currently in receipt of other council funding may apply, providing that they can demonstrate that the application is for a different activity.
