Deadline: 6-Nov-20
The Community Change Grant supports innovative, non-traditional ideas that focus on emerging opportunities within the community and inspire a diverse group of citizens to be more active, involved, and civically engaged. Funding supports grassroots solutions to everyday challenges.
As our community recovers from COVID-19, community engagement is more important than ever, and everyone has a role to play. Individual citizens, formal or informal groups who wish to collaborate on a creative project for positive change in the community are eligible. Applicants are encouraged to meet with Family and Community Services staff to ask questions, clarify expectations, and discuss expected results, prior to applying.
Ideas include but are not limited to:
- Sewing non-medical masks for vulnerable residents;
- Enhancing a neighbourhood’s safety or character;
- Building and maintaining a community pantry or little library;
