The 100 Women is pleased to announce applications for its Grant Program to invest in charities that empower women and girls.
What do they Support?
- Improve economic outcomes for girls and women who are disadvantaged or face barriers; or
- Improve health outcomes for girls and women; or
- Improve educational outcomes for girls and women; or
- Provide safety to girls and women at risk from rape, forced prostitution, sex trafficking or family violence; or
- Address any of the Targets for Goal 5: Gender Equality UN Sustainable Development Goals (where the direct beneficiaries of the grant are girls and women).
Funding Information
- They plan to support grants of up to $40,000 to successful organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
- 100 Women awards grants to organizations that advance the safety, health, education, and economic freedom of women and girls.
- You must be an Australian registered charity with Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. This is mandatory and overseas registered charities do not meet this requirement.
- Mandatory requirements govern which organizations can receive a grant from 100 Women. Grant applicants must be:
- Charitable organizations within the meaning of the Charities Act 2013; and
- Have Item 1 DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status (in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997).
- Grants may also be made to exempt organizations that would be charitable but for their connection with the government and which are Item 1 DGRs.
Note: Further expressions of interest will be prioritised by geography, with preference given to projects conducted within Western Australia or with a national/multi-jurisdiction reach or those based in overseas countries.
Criteria
- All expressions of interest will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Target an identifiable and specific population for a set duration.
- Demonstrate that project beneficiaries and key stakeholders have been consulted in the development of the project.
- The sustainability of the activity both in terms of funding and learning outcomes.
- The measures of change and assessment of outcomes built into the program logic.
- Evidence of the need or problem being addressed.
- Evidence that the solution is the best match for the identified problem.
- Broad community commitment by demonstrating other funding contributions. In kind contributions
- are evidence of this.
