Deadline: 20-Sep-21
The Brookline Community Foundation (BCF) is seeking proposals for the Community Grant Program to provide funding to programs and efforts that support the vision of a better Brookline for all who live, learn, work, and play here.
Focus Areas
The Foundation welcomes proposals that address a variety of community needs such as, but not limited to, the following focuses:
- Health & Wellness
- Housing
- Education
- The Environment
- Arts & Culture
- Children & Families
- Healthy Aging
Priority Considerations:
- In alignment with the organizational vision and grantmaking goals, as they review proposals, they will give preference to community organizations and groups that are working to ensure Brookline is inclusive and equitable for all, and that focus on BIPOC and other vulnerable populations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants shall be made to or through tax-exempt organizations that meet the requirements of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, as well as to governmental bodies and agencies serving the Town.
- Town Departments, Committees, and Commissions seeking funding should review BCF’s Town Guidelines before submitting an application. Faith-based organizations are eligible to apply for projects assisting the wider community and if their project does not include the promotion of religious beliefs.
- If an organization or project is not tax-exempt, an application may be submitted through an organization that has agreed to serve as a fiscal sponsor. If needed, BCF can assist applicants in identifying an appropriate fiscal sponsor.
- To be eligible, an organization or group must be operated and organized so that it does not discriminate in the hiring of staff or provision of services on the basis of race, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or disability.
- They define the Brookline community as those who live, work or go to school in Brookline.
