Deadline: 24-May-21
Suffolk Community Foundation has invited proposals for its Suffolk Sports Fund grants to support charitable, voluntary and community groups that are aiming to increase participation in sport in Suffolk.
This grants programme seeks to help improve the lives of those living in Suffolk by enabling better access to sport at grassroots level. Applications must be for projects that will benefit people living or working in Suffolk. As this fund seeks to increase grassroots sports activity, the fund is not open to national organisations. Core running costs will not be met out of this fund unless a clear increase in participation can be identified.
Aims
They award grants to charities, voluntary or community groups and organisations which are charitable in purpose and are working to help relieve disadvantage and deprivation across Suffolk. They seek to support genuinely good ideas that will make a real difference to the lives of local people.
The aim of grant-making is to:
- Promote health and wellbeing
- Tackle disadvantage
- Support local solutions to meet local needs
- Promote community cohesion
