Sustainable Grenadines Inc Is soliciting applications from Civil Society Organizations and Income Generation/Business for its Small Grant’s Program.
The project consists of three main components to include the following areas:
- Small Grants Program (Community Groups & Income Generation/Small Businesses on Union Island)
- Ashton Lagoon Infrastructure
- Institutional Strengthening for SusGren.
Objective of the Small Grants Program
- The Small Grants Program (SGP) is to support community groups to further their mission towards environmental education, natural resource conservation, youth development, sports, culture and small businesses to increase their livelihoods by the end of the project.

- Equipment, materials, supplies and training etc.
Funding Information
- CSO applicants can apply for funding between EC$1,000.00 – EC$10,000.00 to support their groups that are involved in social stewardship in the community, environment, culture, youth, sports and education awareness.
- Income generation/ business applicants can apply for funding between EC$1,000.00 – EC$10,000.00 to support their small business in the area of materials, equipment, supplies, training, product development and marketing among others.
- SusGren will provide technical assistance to groups during the implementation of their grant.
Guidelines to Access Funding
- The total amount requested must not exceed EC$10,000.00
- Successful applicants MUST agree to participate in a minimum of five days training in basic project management to include reporting and bookkeeping
- Applicants must provide 15% in cash or in-kind of the total requested amount.
- Projects should not exceed 6 months
- All applications MUST be submitted via email.
Who can access the Fund?
- The SGP can be accessed by community groups/institution to include (schools, churches, social groups, environmental etc.) and small businesses involved in seamoss, honey, agriculture, arts and crafts, food processing etc.
Who is Eligible?
- Civil Society Organizations – Eligible applicants will include FUNCTIONAL community groups (e.g., Lion’s club, Rotary club, environmental groups, church groups, school groups and sports and culture clubs)
- Income Generation/Business- Eligible applicants must include small businesses that have been in operation for at least one consecutive year or more. Start-up businesses may also be considered. Example of businesses may include (crafts/artisans, sustainable agriculture, food processing, etc.).
