Deadline: 9-Dec-20
Crosshatch is part of the Upper Midwest Emergency Relief Fund coalition, in partnership with Arts South Dakota, Culturesource, ImagineMKE, Racking Magpie, Springboard for the Arts and The Arts Partnership. Together, they are supporting artists throughout the region.
Working artists have been hit hard by the effect of the coronavirus on the arts economy. Cancelled events means loss of income, with no end in sight. Because They know that art is of the utmost importance in trying times, they’re looking out for the artists.
Priorities
Priority will be given to the following populations:
- Artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and/or Native.
- LGBTQIA+ artists.
- Artists from the disability community, including those who are immuno-compromised.
Eligibility Criteria
- Crosshatch is able to fund individual artists (no non-profits or institutions) who earn 33% or more of their income from their art, who have lost income because of COVID-19-related cancellations or restrictions, and who live in one of the following counties: Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau. These are emergency funds, to be used for hardship.
- Artists outside of the above populations are welcome and encouraged to apply, and will be placed into a pool for random selection through a lottery process.
