The Fore is accepting grant applications from grassroots organisations working with underserved communities.
The Fore offers unrestricted funding to help applicants grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient. They believe that by asking you and your charity what you need, their grants will create a transformational impact on your organisation.
Purpose
- To select the highest-potential small charities and social enterprises
- To source the funding and skills these charities need
- To accelerate their impact
What do they offer?
- They offer unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 spread over one to three years
- Funding can be used for whatever you need for your organisation to grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient
- Applicants set their own targets for the grant term with the support of their consultants
- There are no long application or monitoring forms
- They guarantee feedback for every applicant
- Skills support and networking
- Providing non-financial support for the charities they back is as important to them as the funding. They offer access to a network of skilled, pro-bono volunteers as well as online training workshops and seminars. These opportunities are open to successful charities for life.
- Workshops cover a wide range of topics including communications and marketing, fundraising, strategy and legal advice. These are also open to non-portfolio charities. To receive details sign up to their charities mailing list here.
- Their pro bono network includes skills support from their corporate partners, and access to their community of 1,000+ skilled professionals – skills available include strategy, business planning, communications, HR, IT and trusteeships
- Networking opportunities include matchmaking events to pair you with highly qualified mentors, volunteers, and trustees and invitations to their join their peer-to-peer network of all their portfolio charity leaders.

- Impact measurement
- Free impact measurement courses are offered to all their portfolio charities
- These cover topics such as creating a Theory of Change, collecting the right evidence, and communicating your impact
- They also offer shorter, two-hour long impact sessions as part of their workshops programme
Eligibility Criteria
- The grants programme is open to:
- Registered Charities (including those constituted as charitable trusts, charitable unincorporated associations, charitable incorporated organisations and charitable companies limited by guarantee), Charitable Incorporated Organisations, Community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by guarantee, or Community Benefit Societies.
- They do not currently fund social enterprises that are not charitable companies limited by guarantee or CICs limited by guarantee.
- Your annual revenue should be less than £500k
- Applicants in any location or sector, but need to be registered in the UK
