Deadline: 12-Jul-21
The Patricia and Nicolaas Kortlandt Memorial Fund invites proposals for projects that strengthen the fabric of the counties they serve and that represent the diverse interests of Patricia and Nicolaas Kortlandt. Priority is given to those charities that Mr. Kortlandt requested that they consider first.
Patricia and Nicolaas Kortlandt were community-minded people who lived in Fauquier County for over 50 years and supported Fauquier through their farm and service to civic organizations and schools. Both Patti and Nic were adamant volunteers.
Such wide-ranging programs include those that:
- improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities, particularly in the areas of basic human needs;
- preserve and increase access to their unique community assets;
- promote broad-based participation in arts and cultural activities;
- improve a student’s readiness to learn, and ability to succeed in school and other educational endeavors;
- enhance wellness through community-based organizations;
- encourage environmental preservation and support.
