The Quality Community Foundation (QCF) is inviting applications for its Grant Program to assist non-profit organizations that have the greatest and most significant impact on the quality of life in Commerce City.
To build a quality community for a lifetime within the City of Commerce City, CO. Established in 2006, QCF supports post-secondary education and access to recreational programming for Commerce City youth and provides grants to fund various non-profit organizations that benefit Commerce City residents.
QCF grants provide funding for a wide variety of programs and services in the city, including emergency housing for homeless families, volunteer services and meals for seniors, advocacy and emergency assistance for domestic violence victims, health care, mental health, and local food banks.
Mission
The foundation achieves its mission by:
- Attracting charitable gifts and promoting community philanthropy.
- Serving as a steward for entrusted funds directed towards programs and activities of economic, educational, social, and cultural non-profit organizations.
- Enhancing the effectiveness of the non-profit community.
- Being a community resource for individuals, non-profit agencies, and the community-at-large.
Grant Categories
Non-profits can only apply to ONE of the following grants each year:
- Program/Project Grant: Supports a specific non-profit program or project that impacts Commerce City residents.
- General Operating Support Grant (for returning grantees): Supports non-profits with developing their internal capacities and systems to better serve Commerce City residents. To be eligible for this grant, the non-profit must have:
- Successfully completed the scope of work defined in the prior grant application(s);
- Expended all prior grant funds and submitted all grant reports.
Grant Information
- Organizations can receive a up to $7,500 each for the Program/Project Grant or $5,000 for the General Operating Grant.
Eligibility Criteria
Both grant opportunities require organizations to:
- Have 501(c)(3) non-profit status and be in good standing with state and federal regulations.
- Address the needs of Commerce City residents (organizations do not need to be based in Commerce City; however, a significant factor in the evaluation will be the impact the organization has on Commerce City residents).
- Demonstrate sound fiscal management.
- Successful grantees will clearly explain the compelling community need with data, and describe how they will address the need, including how they will measure progress and/or success.

- January 15: 2021 Grant Applications Available;
- January 22: Virtual Informational Session for NEW grant applicants;
- January 23: Virtual Informational Session for RETURNING grantees;
- January 31: Grant Reports due from 2020 Grantees;
- March 5: 2021 Grant Application Deadline.
