The Women’s Fund in Georgia is inviting applications for the Protection of Women’s Rights and Women’s Rights Activists from women’s organizations, initiative groups, and individuals working to improve the status of women, which is financially supported by the British Foundation Sigrid Rising Trust.
Note: The Women’s Fund will give priority to coalition initiatives of organizations operating in the region.
Aims
- The grant is aimed at empowering feminist and women’s organizations working to protect women’s rights and challenge systemic change in the regions of Georgia.
Thematic Directions of the Program
- Mobilizing women against social injustice in regional towns and villages through advocacy and lobbying.
- Detection and prevention of invisible / hidden forms of violence against women.
- Increase women’s leadership and participation in decision-making in local governments (on social, environmental, educational, or other issues).
- Creating a safe and caring environment for feminist activists and women’s rights groups, and activities for women’s emotional and mental well-being.
Funding Information
- The grant amount is set at 5000 GBP
- Maximum project duration: 8 months
Eligible Projects
- The Women’s Fund will support projects within the competition:
- Which are carried out by women
- Whose direct and ultimate beneficiaries are women
Eligibility Criteria
- Local registered women’s NGOs in the regions of Georgia
- Organizations in the regions working on women’s issues and led by women
- Women’s organizations in regions with a budget of no more than $ 500,000
