Trinidad & Tobago: 2021 Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation

The U.S. Embassy, Port of Spain is currently accepting proposals for the 2021 Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) Grant Program.

Funding Information

• Minimum (“Floor”) Award Amount: $10,000.00;
• Maximum (“Ceiling”) Award Amount: $500,000.00.

Eligibility Criteria

• The U.S. Embassy, Port of Spain and the U.S. Department of State define eligible applicants as reputable and accountable non-commercial entities, such as non-governmental organizations, museums, ministries of culture, or similar institutions and organizations, including U.S.-based organizations subject to Section 501(c) (3) of the tax code. Those that can develop and implement their proposed programs in Trinidad and Tobago. These entities must have a DUNS number and SAM registration prior to submission and be able to demonstrate that they have the requisite experience and capacity to manage projects to preserve cultural heritage.
• Individuals and commercial entities are not eligible to receive grant awards. Neither will past award recipients who have not fulfilled the objectives or reporting requirements of previous AFCP awards be able to receive funding.

Requirements and Documents

From the Implementer, proposal concept papers must include or address the following:

• Project Title.
• Project summary: This should be short, about 250 characters, and include the activities and SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) goals of the project.
• Location of the project.
• Amount requested: All figures should be in United States dollars and the total requested must be between $10,000 and $500,000.
• Description of the project: What will your project achieve? Please include a detailed timeline and major milestones and SMART objectives.
• Media plan (if appropriate).
• Evaluation: How will you measure whether your project is progressing as planned? Are you evaluating the impact of the project?
• Budget Narrative: Please provide a clear justification for the budget you are requesting.
