Deadline: 31-Mar-21
The U.S. Embassy Tokyo’s Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out polling and analysis on study abroad of Japanese high school and university students to the United States.
Program Objectives
- The strength of the U.S.-Japan relationship lies within the people-to-people connections that have been built over the years, much of this coming from study abroad activities. The U.S. Embassy seeks to provide a repository of study abroad information to develop a better understanding of the education and exchange landscape in Japan and the United States to students, teachers, and U.S. representatives. This could include information such as who are the primary players in the study abroad field, an examination of the current state of study to the United States, and polling and analysis of the Japanese audience to gain an understanding of the sentiment and contributing factors on study abroad to the United States.
- The Embassy welcomes proposals on study abroad research. The proposal should detail the specific area of research, explain the approaches that are being implemented, and highlight its impact, effectiveness, and future sustainability.

- Length of performance period: Up to 24 months;
- Number of awards anticipated: 1 award;
- Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $20,000;
