UK: DCF Feel Good Grants for NGOs in Devon

The Devon Community Foundation is awarding grants between £2,000 and £10,000 to organisations in Devon that provide mental health support.

The purpose of the grant programme is to provide improved access to high quality mental health support services, therapies and other activities for people whose lives are affected by their mental ill-health so that they feel safer, more supported and are better able to understand and manage their experiences and look to the future.

Grants will fund activity that directly supports individuals who are experiencing mental ill-health which is affecting their day to day lives. This could include but is not exclusive to:

One on one counselling
Group therapies
Other activities that aid recovery such as craft, nature
Existing activity and new pilot approaches.

Priorities

They anticipate that we may receive a high volume of applications to this grant programme. In this case they will prioritise the following:

Activities that directly benefit children and young people and those closest to them.
Activities that directly benefit individuals whose mental ill-health is understood to be connected to their race and ethnicity, sexual identity, gender and/or disability.
Organisations who can demonstrate an immediate need for their services. For example, you may have a waiting list for services or individuals who are known to be in urgent need of support who feel unsafe.
Organisations who are able to demonstrate how beneficiaries have informed and helped shape services available to them.
Applications that show how beneficiaries are supported to take positive next steps when the described programme comes to an end.

Area Of Benefit

The geographic area of support for this funding will be Devon, including Torbay and Plymouth. Applications for activity taking place outside these areas or to work with individuals not resident in these areas will not be

considered.

Funding Information

Grants of between £2,000 and £10,000 are available.
They anticipate that they will award around 12 Feel Good grants this year.
Payment will be made in 2 instalments: 75% of total grant on return of signed grant agreement with the remaining paid after an informal interim check up with them to ensure the work is on track.
