The UN Program for Restoration and Peacebuilding together with the NGO “Interaction Plus” has announced the continuation of applications for participation in the grant competition for NGOs in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The competition is part of the United Nations Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding, implemented by four UN agencies: the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Framework for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (UN Women), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). ) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The program is supported by twelve international partners: the European Union (EU), the European Investment Bank (EIB), as well as the governments of the United Kingdom, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden and Japan.
The overall goal of the project is to restore effective governance and promote reconciliation in the conflict-affected communities of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts (in the territories controlled by the Ukrainian government) in accordance with the UN’s 16th Sustainable Development Goal “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
Areas
- Facilitating the implementation of local strategic plans in the field of local economic development: Improving local plans in the field of local economic development will help improve community service delivery, and grant funds can also be used to implement infrastructure projects such as business hubs or economic centers. community growth.
- Support for anti-corruption monitoring of local government activities: NGOs that receive a grant in this area will be able to conduct anti-corruption monitoring, analyze declared and publicly available information in a particular socio-economic sector, analyze corruption risks of local government decisions and develop recommendations to improve transparency and improve anti-corruption practices in communities.

- in the Donetsk region : Bakhmut, Verkhnotoretska, Volnovakha, Vugledarska, Dobropilska, Druzhkivska, Krasnohorivska, Kurakhivska, Maryinska, Soledarska, Toretska city councils, Velykonovosilkivska, Zvanivska, Olhynska, Ocherebyshnyda, Pervo;
- in the Luhansk region : Gorska, Zolotovska, Kreminska, Popasnyanska, Rubizhanska, Severodonetska, Shchastynska city councils, Bilovodska, Bilolutsk, Bilokurakynska, Krasnorichenska, Markivska, Milovska, Novoaydarska, Tronychno-Luhansk, Stanychno-Luhansk Oleksandrivska, Nyzhnyoduvanska, Nyzhnyoteplivska, Privilska, Shirokivska village councils.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-governmental public organizations (NGOs) that meet the following requirements are invited to participate in the competition:
- are civil society organizations, namely: public organization, public association, charitable organization, etc. The full list is available on the competition website;
- officially registered in Donetsk or Luhansk region (in the territories controlled by the government of Ukraine);
- have the status of a non-profit or charitable organization;
- have a valid current account in a bank of Ukraine.
