The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting proposals for recruitment projects local implementing partner in the framework of economic recovery and strengthening resilience through the rehabilitation of roads through the manufacture of artisanal stone pavers / south kivu province.
Objectives
- The overall objective of this call for proposals for fixed-cost projects is to identify, within the framework of the Japanese Supplementary Budget / YSB project, “JSB2020: Supporting rapid recovery from floods and inter-community conflicts through resilience building. and stability in communities affected by the crisis ”, an NGO partner for the implementation of the activities of a product of this project“ Support the creation of temporary jobs by the rehabilitation of community infrastructure according to the approach based on work for the benefit of 1000 households in South Kivu, ”. The target to be covered by these activities concerns only the city of Uvira. 320 direct beneficiaries are planned for the city of Uvira. The partner will use the labor-based strategy for the execution of the tasks dedicated to this project.
- Specific objectives
- The economic recovery of the targeted communities in Uvira is encouraged by the implementation of income-generating activities, the creation of temporary jobs and the support for SME businesses (with an emphasis on restoring the livelihoods of the populations). vulnerable people who have suffered from the effects of COVID-19).
Duration
- The total duration of the implementation of the project activities is six (6) months.
Eligibility Criteria
- For the purposes of this call for projects, only NGOs shortlisted / in the Roster are eligible. However, they must meet the following selection criteria:
- Be a structure already operational on the ground in the above-mentioned areas, with good expertise in the field of socio-economic reintegration of vulnerable people and in reconstruction, road rehabilitation (formulation, monitoring of works).
- Carry out or have previously carried out a field visit to the infrastructure to be rehabilitated.
- By the very fact of tendering, the tendering structure acknowledges having visited the infrastructure / place where the work will be carried out according to the project and not ignoring any difficulties due to:
- To the geographical location;
- To climatic conditions;
- In the neighbourhood ;
- Transport problems;
- To the resistance of the land intended to receive the structures to be rehabilitated; To the nature of the rehabilitation works for the case of the infrastructures to be rebuilt.
