The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the Public Call to provide support for at least 18 SMEs by exploiting the potential of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies, for 10 SMEs to conduct detailed energy audits and 3 SMEs to introduce an energy management system.
The main goals of the project are:
- reducing the costs of public funds on energy and water consumption (by increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources),
- creating a favorable environment for investing in energy efficiency infrastructural measures, while at the same time creating “green jobs.
Funding Information
The GED project will select for co-financing acceptable measures for support in the amounts of:
- Renewable energy sources, industrial/process energy efficiency , facility energy efficiency , will be subsidized in the amount of up to 10% of the total investment through loan interest subsidization or up to a maximum of BAM 40,000.00 – at least 18 small and medium-sized enterprises
- Support for the introduction of the energy management system EN ISO 50001 / EN 16001 will be subsidized in the amount of up to 70% of the total cost of the introduction of the energy management system – at least 3 small and medium-sized enterprises
- The preparation of the energy audit will be fully subsidized up to a maximum amount of 10,000.00 BAM – for 10 small and medium-sized enterprises
Criteria
- Eligible measures for funding are listed below. It is not possible to apply to the public call with more than one of the acceptable support measures.
- Energy efficiency of the building:
- Controls and automation
- LED lighting
- High efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning
- Renewable sources of energy:
- Investment in new equipment for the production of local low-carbon and renewable heat and electricity:
- Heat pumps
- Solar systems
- Cogeneration
- Utilization of waste heat (in industrial/production processes)
- Industrial/process energy efficiency:
- Investing in new industrial technologies and processes including:
- Engines, drives
- Compressed air
- Cooling
- Process heat
- Process control
- Operational efficiency and behavior change:
- Implementation of measurement and monitoring of energy use within small and medium-sized enterprises and support for the introduction of the ISO 50001 / EN 16001 energy management system
- Energy audit:
- Creating a detailed energy audit of SMEs
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants for support can be small and medium-sized enterprises that have been registered at least two years before the publication of this Public Call, and that have up to 250 employees.
- Applicants may submit only one application to this public call. Applicants can only submit applications independently. Applications from multiple applicants within one proposal will not be taken into account. Applicants are responsible for providing information and documents.
- Applicants should meet all the conditions defined by this public call, that is, the application should be prepared in accordance with the requirements and characteristics given in the public call, including appropriate attachments.
