The United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan is announcing a call for grant proposals/applications among non-governmental/non-commercial organizations to support initiatives and action plans for vulnerable youth in target areas of Aktobe and Karaganda oblasts within the framework of the project “Strengthening Resilience to Violent Extremism in Asia (STRIVE Asia): a joint EU-UN Partnership”.
- supporting and implementing initiatives/action plans for vulnerable youth in target areas;
- strengthening community resilience;
- improving access of vulnerable youth to quality social and economic services.
- innovative educational centers;
- sports grounds;
- cultural and leisure centers;
- coworking centers;
- volunteer centers;
- creation conditions for enhancements potential, improvement professional and personal skills of vulnerable youth, contributing to decent work;
- restoration of social infrastructure, etc.
- The maximum amount per grant is 2,800,000 (two million eight hundred thousand) tenge.
- The term for the implementation of projects should not exceed 3 months.
- be linked to national and local programs and development priorities;
- be aimed at involving local vulnerable youth in targeted settlements;
- be sustainable in terms of project duration and strengthening local community;
- lay down a mechanism to ensure institutional and financial sustainability of the project after the end of its funding;
- focus on social and gender equality;
- contain a component on capacity building, training and broad informing about project approaches and technologies;
- be focused on solving the most pressing social issues in the region;
- can involve partners for joint implementation and possible co-financing the project;
- contain information on the definition of clear indicators of measurement achieved results.
